Mogoke

Widely known as Ruby Land or Gems City is situated 805 meters above sea level just 15 km North East of Mandalay. Myanmar rubies, sapphires, emeralds and other precious stones are mined in Mogoke area. Only package tours with special permission are allowed to visit Mogoke.

Chan-Tha-Gyi Pagoda
Kaung-Mu-Daw Pagoda
Kyauk-Pyathat Pagoda
Than-Ba-Than-Boddaw Pagoda, where Buddha images, richly studded with real rubies and emeralds are kept under lock and key in its basement.
Pin-Gu-Taung or Spider Mountain which its legendry giant spider keeping watch over the biggest ruby in the world.
