(SST - 020) Tachileik-Mong Phayak-Kyaing Tong-Tachileik
Day 1
About 08:00 hr cross the Myanmar-Thai border via goodwill bridge by (14)
day's permit. Transfer to Kyaing Tong, the most scenic town in Shan State, Kyaing Tong lies on the midway between
Than-Lwin River and Mekong River valleys.
The road from Tachileik to Kyaing Tong passed through Mong-Phayak and Ta-Lay River among many mountains and hills, which are covered with dense bamboo tree forest. Reach Kyaing Tong,
lunch at local restaurant and check in at the Hotel.
Visit the tribal villages around Kyaing Tong Township. See Khun, Pa-Laung,
La-Hu, A-Kha and the rare Ann nationalities in Yang-Law, Ka-Tan, Pin-Tauk and other small villages, Dinner at
Yunnan restaurant. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2: Kyaing Tong - Tachileik - Maesai
After breakfast at Hotel, visit the morning market at the heart of the town, which is busy with the colorful tribe people such as A-Kha, La-Hu, Wa, Lai, Shan, Ann, Khun, Myanmar and Chinese
. Visit to Maha-Myat-Mu-Ni Buddha Image, Wat In Monastery, 249 years old giant Dipterocarpus
tree which is the landmark of Kyaing Tong and Naung-Tong Lake. Lunch at the local restaurant. Checkout from
Hotel and return to
Tachileik, reach Maesai before 18:00 hr.
