Thanlyin (Syriam)

Thanlyin is located about 32 Km. South East of Yangon. Once a trading port occupied by the Portuguese in early 17^th century, Thanlyin and its surroundings offer many attractions. The old buildings still stand in evidence of the days of Portuguese occupation. The 1822 meters long bridge spanning the Bago River made possible the 45 minutes drive from Yangon.

Places of interest are:

Kyaik-Maw-Wun Pagoda (Mid-River Pagoda) crosses by out boat motor.
Pa-Da-Gyi Pagoda and Image
Kyaik- Kauk Pagoda
Drive along the Myanmar International Terminal Thilawar and its coastline.
On the way back visit the National Races Villages.
